Dns Management
DNS Management gives you full control over your domain's technical settings, such as directing your website and email services. It is a free service for all domains under management that have been registered or transferred into Passion Computing.
Take full control of your domain. DNS Management allows you to connect your domain to websites, email services, cloud platforms, business applications, and third-party providers by creating and managing DNS records such as A, CNAME, MX, TXT, SPF, DKIM, and DMARC.
Whether you're hosting a website with Google, using Gmail or Proton Mail for email, verifying your domain with Microsoft 365, or connecting to custom servers, DNS Management gives you complete flexibility.
If you only need to redirect visitors from one website address to another, our Domain Forwarding service may be a simpler option.
Common Uses for DNS Management
With DNS Management you can:
- Connect your domain to a website hosted on a server, cloud platform, or website builder.
- Point your domain to Google Sites, Google Cloud, Microsoft Azure, AWS, or other hosting providers.
- Connect your domain to a server at your office using a static IP address.
- Create subdomains such as:

- Configure email services including:
- Gmail / Google Workspace

Step 1: Register or Transfer Your Domain
Register a new domain name or transfer an existing domain to Passion Computing
Step 2: Order DNS Management
- Log in to your account.
- Select your domain name.
- Click Add Services and
- Order Domain Manager.
DNS Management is provided free while your domain remains under our management. You will receive an email when the service has been provisioned.
Step 3: Manage Your DNS Records
- Log in to your account.
- Select your domain.
- Open Zone Records.
- Add, edit, or remove DNS records as required.
Common DNS Record Types
A Records
A Records point a domain name to an IP address.
Common Uses
- Hosting a website on a dedicated server.
- Pointing a domain to a cloud server.
- Creating subdomains.

CNAME Records
CNAME records create an alias that points one host name to another
Common Uses
- Connecting Google services.
- Using website builders.
- Linking subdomains to third-party applications.

MX Records
MX records determine where email is delivered.

Many Google services require DNS records to verify ownership and connect your domain.

Connect Your Domain to Proton Mail
To use Proton Mail with your own domain, add the MX, SPF, DKIM and verification records supplied by Proton.

Proton Mail will also provide DKIM records unique to your domain.
Email Security Records
To maximise email deliverability and reduce spoofing, we recommend configuring SPF, DKIM and DMARC records.
SPF Record
SPF identifies which mail servers are permitted to send email for your domain.

DKIM Record
DKIM digitally signs outgoing email and is provided by your email service provider.

We recommend starting with p=none and moving to quarantine or reject once your email system is fully configured.

Updating Name Servers
To activate DNS Hosting, once you have configured your zone files you will need to use the following nameservers:

ns3.partnerconsole.net
DNS changes usually begin working within a few hours, although worldwide propagation can take up to 24-48 hours. If you are currently using email or website hosting then you need to replicate the zone files from your previous provider, before you update your name servers.
